Aug. 8th-13th Took us to Aspen campground on top of the Mogollon Rim at an elevation of 7600+ ft. Cool nights and mild days prevailed, with the occasional afternoon monson moving in.
Hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, fishing, climbing, eagle watching and the Labs retrieving their bumpers in Woods Canyon Lake and Willow Springs filled our days.
Night time was excellent food, games with the family, campfires, sleepy time, and a small invader,( a mouse that somehow found his way into our trailer), but met his demise by way of mouse trap courtesy of Howard our camping neighbor.
Howard our camping neighbor shared his wood carving skills with us and gave a little display of his artwork.
The 13th was pack it up and head back down to the valley of 100+ degree days, oh well back to reality.
